1/2 kilo beef ribs, cut into 1 1/2 X 1 1/2 inches
1 large onion, cut into quarters
1/4 head of a cabbage, core removed and cut into half
1 bundle of pechay (chinese cabbage), remove hard stems and disregard
1 big potato, cut into 6 pcs
1 bunch of spring oinons, finely chopped (optional)
1 large corn, cut into quarters
2 tablespoon fish sauce
8 whole black pepper
1 beef cube
1 1/2 liter water
1. In a pressure cooker, pour in the water, the beef together with fish sauce, black pepper, onion and beef cube and cook for 30 to 45 minutes after it whistle. For conventional pot it would takes 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
2. When the beef is already fork-tender, put the potato and corn and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes, covered.
3. Turn off the stove and put the cabbage and pechay on the pot/pressure cooker and return the lid. Let it stand for a minute before serving. Do this so you will not overcook the leafy veggies.
4. Put in a serving bowl, sprinkle with spring onions and serve with rice or as a plain soup. happy eating
