1 kg calamari, whole, cleaned
1 kg potatoes, peeled and cut into round slices
1/2 cup olive oil
salt and black pepper, to taste
1. Preheat the oven to 165 C (330 F).
2. Season potatoes with salt and pepper. Arrange 2/3 potatoes in a greased casserole dish. Cover with whole calamari. Top with remaining potato slices. Pour olive oil over it.
3. Cover and bake over a low heat for 1 hour, until the potatoes are tender.
4. Best served hot.
